Cambridge Exam Preparation
If you are interested in having an internationally recognised English language certificate then the Cambridge Exam is for you. This course will help you prepare for the exam to ensure you get the best possible score. The aim is to provide you with the skills to be successful in your future use of the language and focusing on the exam techniques required.
Aimed at: Students that wish to take the Cambridge examinations of English. You can take a course that prepares you for the exam you are interested in: FCE: First Certificate in English, CAE: Certificate in Advanced English, or CPE: Certificate of Proficiency in English.
Benefits of doing this course: You will achieve a formal qualification in English. You will improve all your language skills, increase your range of vocabulary and develop your understanding of grammar. You will gain confidence in speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will also improve your pronunciation, so you can communicate more fluently and effectively in English, in business, social and academic environments. These are externally moderated Exams through Cambridge University and are very in depth courses looking at the language across all skills in which the students sit an exam.
Methodology: Video Feedback Sessions are an integral part of all programs and are an invaluable resource for students trying to build confidence. These feedback sessions are used as part of the examination courses to prepare you for the pressures of exams.

First Certificate in English (FCE)
Minimum level: Any Level
Exam dates: 22/03, 21/06, 04/12 or 07/12/2010
Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
Minimum level: Upper Intermediate
Exam dates: 22/03, 21/06, 08/12
Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
Minimum level: Advanced
Exam dates: 21/06, 09/12
Course Details
- Lessons per week: 20 Lessons (15 hours)
- Length: 12 weeks
- Minimum Course Length: 2 weeks
- Recommended Age: 18 years upwards
- Note: During the high season (21 June to 27 August) there is an extra enrolment fee of £15, and supplement course fee of £12 per week (this does not apply to students enrolled on programmes of 10 weeks or more). During high season the accommodation have an additional cost of £12 per week.
- Examination Fees range from £85 to £99 and are subject to change without notice.
