Message from Principal
Welcome!
I'm delighted to introduce our school in Dun Laoghaire to you. Established in 1977, we've been teaching English in Dublin for over 30 years. We're a small, friendly school located on the sea front, 20 minutes south of Dublin city centre. We know and understand what it is to embark on a language learning experience and myself and the team will make sure that we do everything to ensure that your experience in Dublin is one you will never forget.
As we are a teacher training centre, the teachers that will be teaching you also train teachers how to teach. This means that the English Classes are amongst the best in Ireland. We also have a dedicated Social Coordinator who's priority is to ensure that you discover cultural sites but also to meet and integrate with other students from the school where our excellent nationality mix means that English is the common language.
I look forward to meeting you in Dublin!

Social Activities
At Dublin - Dun Laoghaire the school believes that learning English should also happen outside the classroom and so they arrange at least 2 social activities per week. Our teachers incorporate the social program into the English classes and encourage students to present projects and oral presentations on the weekly programs. Students quickly realise how they can use the English that they have learned in class, outside of class with other students and with Irish people. We also organize full day and weekend tours subject to demand and minimum numbers being interested. These trips are personalised and can be to anywhere in Ireland.
Activities include: Guinness Factory visit, Traditional Irish pub nights, Museums, Irish Dancing nights, Walking tour of the city etc. These activities are lead by Diane, our Social Co-ordinator who accompanies the students on all outings and makes sure that English is the common language!

Extras
To celebrate Dublin - Dun Laoghaire's 30th year of English Language teaching, they decided to embark on a new, modern look and logo. The result was a fresh new logo which was inspiried by the Martello Tower in Sandycove. Until our recent move, we were based on the sea-front only a stone's throw from the world-famous tower which features in the opening pages of James Joyce opus magnum, Ulysses.
